Approach

Measure first, change second, write it down.

Hourly, transparent, no packages

We bill hourly time and materials — senior US engineers, as project engagements or staff augmentation. Scope, staffing, and timeline are agreed through an initial conversation and revisited openly as work proceeds. No fixed-price packages, no milestone games, no published rate card standing in for a real scoping discussion.

Senior engineers, not a bench

The person you talk to in the first call is the kind of person who does the work. We don't sell a partner and staff a rotation of juniors; Cassandra work rewards pattern recognition that only comes from having operated real clusters through real incidents.

Measure before changing

Cassandra offers a hundred knobs and most of them are the wrong one to turn. We start from evidence — partition-size histograms, tombstone counts, compaction backlogs, repair ages, driver metrics — and change the thing the data implicates. Every recommendation in a review names its evidence.

Runbooks over heroics

Upgrades and migrations get written plans with rollback points at every phase, agreed before the first node moves. Incidents get write-ups. The goal is that your team can run the next one without us — retention through competence, not dependency.

Honest about fit

Cassandra is a superb store for high-write, always-on, known-query workloads. It is the wrong tool for ad-hoc analytics, relational joins, and small datasets that just wanted Postgres. If your problem is one of those, we'll say so in the first conversation — it costs us an engagement and saves you a year.

Your stack, your repos, your keys

We work in your repositories, your monitoring, and your cloud accounts, under your access controls. Reviews run read-only. Anything we build is documented and handed over — there is no proprietary tooling wedge to keep you attached.

The first conversation is free-form: bring the problem, we'll bring questions.
